Once again, MCC was honored to have 18 Corvettes in the 2015 500 Festival Parade.
We have already met with the 500 Festival Parade Committee regarding our 2016 Parade Application! Watch for more information regarding the 100th 500 Race. (See Home Page for a link to view our 2015 parade participation.)
2015 report follows:
12 MCC Corvettes and 1 support vehicle made the annual road trip to the Smokey Mountains Fun Fest in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. It was a great extended weekend of fellowship and fun. They say getting there is half the fun and whoever "they" are, was right. Upon our arrival our rooms were ready and the hospitality was excellent. A leisurely road trip on Friday through the mountains of Kentucky capped with dinner at Margaritaville, thanks to F. Crabtree and family made for a perfect day. Saturday, "Parade Day", was slowed by what seems to be a traditional "little rain shower" but shortly after the shower, the sun came through. We were then off for a ceremonial good-bye for a special member followed by the infamous drive on the "Dragons Tail". MCC once again received a trophy which is now proudly displayed in our trophy case in the Murat Temple. A great dinner was experienced at the "White Trash" Party, while a few members opted for the Bull & Fish. Our hospitality room was well stocked and prepared by our wonderful ladies, led by the Condre's. This was the perfect way to finish a very busy day and discuss our experiences of the day. Lunch on Sunday was at Paula Dean's Restaurant followed by the Kabala Shrine Reception before returning home to INDY. Everyone had a safe trip and we are looking forward to 2016's Trip.
